Our chef will provide tapas food dishes with wine tastings and instruction on wine and food matching to acclimatize your taste buds to the region.
You will be treated to a private Maori powhiri by a Kuia (respected Maori woman) at your property. This is a symbolic and spiritual welcome onto the land. We then depart for Black Barn Food Market on the side of spiritual Te Mata Peak to taste local produce. After, we travel to the Gimblett Gravels for a private wine course guided by a woman wine specialist and owner of a vineyard. Become absorbed into the vibrant world of Hawke's Bay wine.
Enjoy a lunch platter of local produce at coastal Clearview winery.
Visit more wineries with their delicious wines and interesting characters.
In the evening enjoy a relaxing BBQ at the beach with local wines.
Enjoy the Hawke's Bay Farmer's Market, the oldest NZ market. After provisioning at the market, continue on to the beautiful garden at Okawa Station for your unique picnic lunch.
